Victorian soprano Alexandra Flood and Queensland pianist Alex Raineri present an intimate evening of alluring Art Song. Join the young duo in their only Melbourne appearance on a musical journey through Western exoticism and Eastern melody.
Following sell-out performances with Opera Queensland and the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, the young duo makes their first Melbourne appearance together for an evening of sensual Art Song, featuring Debussy, Ravel and Dvořák and others. This recital marks Alexandra’s return to Melbourne after lauded debuts as Nannetta in Falstaff at the Malmö Opera in Sweden and as Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia with the Opéra national de Paris Académie. Alexandra is joined by regular collaborator, pianist and artistic director of the Brisbane Music Festival, Alex Raineri for this special event.
