Join Penny Quartet as they return to Primrose Potter Salon with a spectacular program celebrating the joys and complexities of the string quartet. Moving through Ligeti’s Metamorphoses Nocturnes they swirl through an ever-changing landscape, before coming to rest and reflect on young Australian composer Ella Macens’ beautiful Resting with Angels. Finishing with Schumann’s first string quartet, a stunning celebration of melody, counterpoint and classic string quartet beauty. An hour of transformation and celebration of music.
