AYO is thrilled to welcome its young musicians back to the stage for National Music Camp 2022 with a stellar lineup of guest artists. Renowned conductors Brad Cohen and Tzelaw Chan lead the symphony orchestras, and Canberra Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Kirsten Williams will be directing the chamber orchestra.
These professionals will work with AYO musicians to present a diverse showcase of works across two enthralling Sunday concerts. Don’t miss orchestral favourites such as Dvorak’s New World symphony and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances performed alongside contemporary Australian compositions, including Olivia Davies’ Stratus, Melody Eötvös’ The Saqqara Bird and Leah Curtis To Rest in Peace.
The annual gathering of young performers, composers and arts administrators at National Music Camp is one of the highlights of the year for many young Australian musicians. It’s inspiring to witness what can be achieved when these musical minds combine their energy and passion for music.
This event is free to attend however tickets are required.
