The Herald Sun Aria is the oldest and most prestigious competition in Australia for emerging classical singers.
This December, hear these talented singers perform arias from some of the world’s most celebrated operas, accompanied by Melbourne Opera Orchestra under the baton of Greg Hocking AM.
The competition has launched international operatic careers of many of its prizewinners, including Dame Marjorie Lawrence, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and more recently Nicole Carr. With $60,000 in cash prizes and scholarships to be won, it’s set to be an exhilarating night at the opera.
