Samuel Mariño (Venezuela) Soprano
Australian Brandenburg Orchestra
In the Baroque world, the rare male soprano shares the same range as the highest female voice yet produces an intriguingly different sound. Brilliant, agile and assured, Paris-based Venezuelan soprano Samuel Mariño has taken the European concert halls by storm with his incredible range and sparkling interpretations of Baroque and Classical operas and oratorios.
The Soprano is a passionate recital showcasing the most stirring vocal works of the 17th and 18th centuries. Shimmering arias by Handel and Vivaldi will be paired with lesser-known music by Hasse and Monteverdi and culminate with some traditional Latin American songs.
